I stretched out my limbs
on the hood of my car,
and like a lazy tabby cat,
I burrowed beneath
a warm fuzzy blanket
and a sky-full of stars,
watching in awe
The moon shivered above;
bathing the night
with a shimmering light
A sashay of her sensual hips
illuminating even the darkest of hours
How does she do it?
Trading places with the sun
finding a home between
sunrise and sunset
Surprising us at times
with a sprinkling at first
then a slow and steady shine
over time, gifting us with
many days and nights
of moonlight madness
